Quick samayal 1

Hi friends this time i have come with different rice recipes which is done in no time. I wanted to share these recipes with you because, now a days my husband is leaving to office very early in the morning and i get so tensed to finish the complete lunch for him like sambar,rasam,poriyal etc but with these easy rice recipes am able to finish my cooking very soon without no tension. So i wanted to help some of my friends, who are having the same tension. Today's recipe is lemon rice, curd rice,peas and potato masala

1. Lemon rice
Ingrediants

Lemon
3
Boiled rice
2 cups
Salt
As needed
Turmeric
1/2tsp

For seasoning
Hing
A pinch
Oil
2tsp
Mustard seeds
1tsp
Channa dal
1tsp
Peanuts (optional)
2tsp
Broken urid dal
1/2tsp
Ginger
A small piece
Green chillies
2

Coriander leaves(chopped)
2 to 3 tsp


Method
  1. Boil the rice and let it dry for some time.
  2. Squeeze all the 3 lemon,salt add turmeric powder in it and keep it aside.
  3. Meantime heat oil in a pan add all the items that are in seasoning one by one and fry for some time except coriander leaves .
  4. once all done atlast pour the lemon and turmeric mixture and intermediately switch off the gas.
  5. pour this mixture on the rice and give a good stir and add coriander leaves.
2. Curd rice
Ingredients

Thick Curd
1/2 cup
Boiled rice
1 cup
Salt
As needed
Milk
¼ cup

For seasoning
Hing
A pinch
Oil
2tsp
Mustard seeds
1tsp
Ginger
A small piece
Green chillies
1

Coriander leaves(chopped)
2 to 3 tsp


Method
  1. Boil the rice nicely like kanji.
  2. Add curd,milk and salt to the rice and give a good stir.
  3. Heat oil and add all the items in the seasoning list one by one except coriander leaves.
  4. pour this mixture on to the rice and stir well.
  5. Atlast add coriander leaves and serve.

3. Peas and Potato curry
 Ingredients
Potato
½ kg
Peas
1cup
Onion
2
Tomato
2
Turmeric powder
1/2tsp
Sambar powder
1tsp
Garam masala
1/2tsp
Salt
As needed

For seasoning
Mustard seed
1/2tsp
Broken urid dal
1/4th tsp
Oil
3tbs



Method
  1. Boil potato and peas separately in a cooker for 2 whistles.
  2. Peal the potato skin and cut it into small pieces.
  3. Add turmeric,sambar powder and salt and set aside for atleast 10 mts.
  4. Meantime take a kadai, pour oil and let it heat for sometime add the items in seasoning one by one.
  5. Then add onion and fry for sometime until it turns transparent .Add tomato and stir until it become mushy.
  6. Add marinated potato and give a good stir then add boiled peas.
  7. Then add garam masala and 2tsp oil and stir it again.
  8. leave the mixture for 10 mts in low flame occasionally stirring it.
  9. Atlast add coriander leaves and serve.

Ghee biscuits

Ghee biscuits

Ghee biscuits by its name itself we can understand its melting biscuit .The taste and flour of the ghee is simply irresistible to stop with one and its a very easy to do recipe with only few ingredients. These cookies are typical Indian cookies. The Ghee(Clarified Butter) makes it so special and I guess no one would say NO to this cookie. I wanted to try these cookies, as it calls for Ghee and there is no baking soda or baking powder used. So here we go




Ingredients 

Ghee
1 cup
Powdered sugar
1cup
All purpose flour
1 ½ cup

 Method

1.Preheat the oven to 180degree .
2.In a bowl,bring all the three ingredients(Ghee,AP flour and Sugar),and make a soft dough.
3.Make small balls out of the dough,slightly flatten it and place in the baking tray.
4.Bake the cookies for about 20-25 minutes .
5.Once done,remove from the oven and allow them to cool.Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container.

Eggless cake pops

Eggless cake pops

I came across this recipe in a cookbook and thought of giving a try , but became big hit in my family . My son 1 and half years old loved the plain cake balls. So here we go

Ingredients
 
Eggless vanilla cake
250 gms

Butter cream frosting
¼ cup
Compound white chocolate
100gms
Compound Milk chocolate
100 gms
Colour sprinkles 
As needed
Lollypop sticks

Method
  1. Put the cake in a blender and make it into powder or you can use your hand also.
  2. Add the butter to the cake crumbs and mix it .
  3. Make small ball and put it into the fridge for half an hour  to become hard 
  4. Meantime melt the white chocolate and milk chocolate in a double boiler.
  5. Insert the lollipop sticks in the cake ball and dip it in the white chocolate and some in milk chocolate and add some sprinkles . 
  6. Put them in the fridge to set for 1 hour
